Company History:

Celebrating our 19th year in business.

It all started with a little coffee cart on Eastlake Avenue back in 1989. In 1990 we added a second cart to the line up in West Seattle at the Morgan street Thriftway. The business prospered and we added two more carts in 1991 and 1992 at the Sand Point Thriftway and Greenwood Market. By 1995 the cafe culture in Seattle was in full swing and we decided it was time to open a coffee shop in order to better serve our guests. We chose West Seattle as our first coffee shop location as we had a loyal following of salubrious coffee lovers and the lines were long at our West Seattle coffee cart. We added the Ballard coffee shop in 2001 and have plans for additional locations in the works. Drop us an e-mail and let us know where you think we should open our next shop.

Java Bean currently operates two coffee shops in the Seattle area. Ballard and West Seattle.
